If you fail to plan, you plan to fail

When it comes to common denominators between those with a balanced and noticeable amount of success, one common thread is certain among them, goal setting. I was always told by a certain business owner “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail” and he seems to be right. When it comes to goal setting I know of no better man than Brian Tracy to instruct you on how to effectively set goals, here is a video of his about 5 minutes long.

Adding life to your years

I personally think that Nutrition is the new healthcare. I have no interest in adding years to your life, I want to add life to your years.  Our bodies are so awesomely designed, they have the amazing ability of self healing and rejuvenation when provided the right materials, which conveniently enough are right at our local markets, and being grown on farms in our local communities & through international trade even foods like Goji berries, which are the basis for chinese medicine are readily available. Power packed, nutrient dense, cell strengthening, and disease reversing foods are what we need to consume to live a vibrant, healthy life.

The Father of western medicine Hippocrates had this to say:

“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”

More than two thirds of people in America are overweight or obese, we have a huge problem! We area country where we are not focusing on prevention and instead are focused on invasive and destructive treatments. On average about six percent of Doctors have any nutritional training and rely heavily on pharmaceutical, lab made drugs.

“For the first 50 years of your life the food industry is trying to make you fat.  Then, the second 50 years, the pharmaceutical industry is treating you for everything” – Pierre Dukan

We are up against a lot, the industries powered by billions of dollars and government backing make it difficult to rid ourselves of the toxic, life shortening, hospital readying “frankenfoods”, and the lack of labeling and awareness makes seemingly healthy, but toxic nonetheless foods fly under the radar and into our homes.

I grew up being told the food pyramid was the guide to proper eating, questions started flying around my head as i grew older and wiser Ex. Why does the food pyramid have such an emphasis on milk? without me going into extensive research on any particular subject, including milk I will tell you that milk is great for something and that something is a newborn baby calf. Do your research about milk, HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup), Aspartame, artificial flavorings, pesticides, monsanto, GMO’s (Genetically modified organisms), Dyes, Preservatives, MSG (Mono sodium glutamate), Trans Fats, Sodium Sulfite, Sodium Nitrate, BHA & BHT, Potassium bromate, among many of the hidden and not so hidden and often misunderstood violations of natural, healthy foods that should be used to make our lives vibrant and in a state of feeling good and satiated.

Food is essential for life, and in my beliefs flavored in millions of distinguishable flavors because we have a loving creator who didn’t make all foods taste like oatmeal, but we are being poisoned. We need a whole new educational program set up in the k-12 era of life for food understanding. We need a system that is focused on prevention to ease the cost of healthcare in America. We need to educate those suffering illnesses that can be reversed by nutritional changes through community programs. We need to know our farmers and get to know how our food is being made and processed. We need to re-educate ourselves on healthy living and eating, lots of new research on old subjects provide accurate maps for a healthy lifestyle. We need to go Local.

I lost my grandfather in 2009 to strictly obesity/diet related issues. I want to learn the rest of my life how to add life to your years and my families so that we can prevent was is preventable and live a life of love and vibrant health. You are meant to feel wonderful and alive, vibrating with health and abundance, We can get there together if we just learn more and make small changes on a consistent basis.

Health, nutrition and spiritual balance to cure, reverse and prevent 99.5% of all diseases * in my opinion

One thing that I never want to forget again is my own personal power.

“Personal power is the ability to stand on your own two feet with a smile on your face

in the middle of a universe that contains a million ways to crush you”

Yes the universe has a million ways to crush you, but you have a choice to not lose your core being in the process, who you truly are, your genuine self. I recently had an experience with a friend who was telling me how someone he was in connection with was always putting him in a bad mood; how he had always effected him negatively.

“Between stimulus and response there is a space. in that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom” – Viktor E. Frankl

I had to allow my friend to see that it was not that other person who was always putting him in a bad mood, it was himself giving his personal power away unknowingly. We have a choice, given to us as a personal universal freedom to choose how we react when someone treats us a certain way, causing a stimulus leading to a reaction that is 100% up to us how we will react. We can choose our own way, it is our human freedom.

I had years of being a reactive person, absorbing the energies, good or bad from those around me. I had unknowingly played the victim with words such as “He” or “she” made me feel, made me do, made me react, forgetting in that paradigm that I had a personal power that I was completely neglecting. A human being is a deciding being says, Viktor Frankl. I want to use Viktor Frankl’s wisdom in this post because in the midst of a Nazi concentration camp, in the most unspeakable conditions imaginable Viktor made choices of how he would react to the hellish stimulus around him, remembering that as he discovered “The last of the human freedoms – the ability to choose one’s attitude in a given set of circumstances.”.

Most if not all of us will never see the amount of human suffering as Frankl did but using him as a reminder that when in our daily life we are acted upon and maybe unjustly treated, we have a choice to choose how we will personally respond. Sometimes it is a hard, bitter pill to swallow to take responsibility for your emotional life, to know that if you are miserable it is you who has chosen to be miserable, but in that same breath you can realize that you can choose to not be miserable as well. When you can say to yourself openly and honestly that you are where you are today because of the choices that you made yesterday, you are reclaiming your throne of your own kingdom, your personal power is restored.

Let us stop selling our emotional lives and personal power to the lowest bidder. Let us who haven’t waken up to the fact that it is not your environment, your circumstances, your upbringing, your sibling, your enemy that is making your life the way that it is, it is us who hold the key to our lives and our sole responsibility to choose how we will respond to anything and everything that comes our way. Be very happy that you can choose how you act or feel. With practice and distancing yourself from the victim state of mind, you will know negativity will come your way, but you will be confident that you and you alone will decide how you will react to it.

“forces beyond your control can take away everything that you possess except one thing, your freedom to choose how you will respond to the situation” – Viktor E. Frankl

Brothers and sisters life truly is 10 percent what happens to you and 90 percent how you react to it. I want to restore your personal freedom today. I would like you to walk outside with your head up high knowing that your coworker can’t ruin your day anymore, that your mother in-laws visit in town is going to be pleasant, that the guy who cuts you off in traffic wont be contributing to your stress levels, that whatever life throws at you you have the personal power to choose how you will respond. I hope life brings you much peace and knowledge.
